What does the future of mathematics instruction hold for us and our students? The following activities will help you answer this question.
1) Readings- Jigsaw
Your index card has a number on it. That number indicates the paragraph you will read and become an expert on for your group.
Find the other teachers who share your number.
Read your assigned paragraph individually. As you are reading, write down 5-8 implications of the reading.
When you are finished reading, add any more implications that you think about to your list.
Share your thoughts about your reading with your teammates, and come to consensus about the main ideas and points from your reading.
Go to your HOME GROUP (orange dot or green dot) and share out each paragraph with your group.
2) Return to your original seats and go on to the following resources for review.
